Hey Scotty, what is the next best reliable car company after Honda and Toyota? You can say only one car company. It can be Japanese or American or anything.
Put your vote in the poll
Mazda has been doing a lot better since they split with Ford. They have always made killer manual transmissions and have even started making their own automatics, which have proven to be better than the JATCO made transmissions that they have used. The technology in their vehicles are top notch, without the poor reliability of their European competitors. The Miata for example, is one of the most fun and sporty cars you can get without spending a fortune.
Yeah I believe he would rank Mazda #3 or possibly Ford if we're talking trucks, their cars are pretty trash.
Subaru might be an honorable mention as well.
Probably between Mazda and Subaru.
If a member does not want a Toyota or Honda, I usually refer them to a Mazda.

Subaru I'd say
What about Suzuki?
I couldn't recommend Suzuki. I'd definitely go Mazda before them.
Suzuki made okay cars as long as you got a manual. Suzuki vehicles are not even sold any longer in the USA so it is hard to say how reliable they are.
Has anyone been in a modern Subaru and a modern Toyota. They share so many ancillary parts and maybe even more parts under the hood.
The push button start is the same. The buttons for the windows are the same. The knob to control the windows are the same. I wouldn’t be surprised if a ton of Subaru and Toyota components are the same.
Studebaker. (Well, you didn't say they had to still be in business.) 😎
