2002 GMC Envoy 4.2l.
400,000 miles on it , because my mother has taken excellent care of her envoy and I've done everything i could to keep it up on the maintenance so far until now I'm stuck on this .

Wow that is some great mileage. I have a 2008 trailblazer just hit 250000 i would love it to last till 400000. you have done well. Sounds like the fuel pump to me but I think you have to drop the gas tank to get to it but im no mechanic.

did you check the fuel filter for clogs?
try running without the filter, bypass it, and see what happens
