Hi, I have Holden (GMH Australia) Vy Commodore 2003 121km V6 Buick engine Just want to know the best oil use in my 4L60 E? Also it has a slow change between 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th under moderate throttle, under light throttle changes nice. No codes No engine light as I don't have a scanner. It locks up ok. Would it be the shift solenoids would they throw a code. Looking forward to your helpful answers. Oil was done 6000km ago.

Ment to say ATF not engine oil in the Heading thanks for your hints looks like I'm dropping the pan.

Hello fellow aussie

I would look at nulon/penrite

Go to that website and look up the specific oil for your car.

Both are made in australua and really good oils I have found. Nulon has been bought by liquid moly

DO NOT put engine oil in a transmission. It needs transmission fluid. Dexron VI for the 4L60.

You may want to drop the pan and check the condition of the ATF filter. Sometimes they come loose and stick to the bottom of the pan causing issues. Especially if the wrong filter used or installed improperly. The ring seal should not be reused.
