Hey Scotty, i would like to Know if you have an ignition system wiring diagram for a 1996 Toyota 4 runner v6- 3.4 engine?
UPDATE: Hi, the mechanic said that it is the computer box causing the starting issue, so i would like to know if you can tell me from which year to which year can work in my 1996 Toyota 4runner-v6-3.4 engine?
The good news is that it isn't your distributor.
3rd generation (1996-2002) V6 3.4L 4runners don't have a distributor.
The bad news is that you're dealing with a mechanic who should know that.
You have 3 COP (coil on plug) / wasted spark ignition coils on your bank 1 cylinders that have spark plug wires going to the bank 2 cylinders.
The setup looks like this.

Anyway. here's the wiring diagrams.

Thanks for the quick response. I have a 1996 Toyota 4runner but currently i am having some problems. It only cranks.. doesn't start. The mechanic is not sure if it is the distributor, crank shaft sensor or spark plugs..so he requested a diagram of how the ignition system is set up..
You are welcome! For starting issues check the link and, if needed, other FAQ

I am from Belize by the way.
Ok then. Will look into it. What would be the best scanner a 1996 Toyota 4runner?
It depends what is avaliable in your area and what system your car supports (still OBD1 or already OBD2).

Great! Will pass on the message to the mechanic.
