4WD front wheel noises when engaged at turns

Dear Scotty thank you very much! for your awesome & so helpful videos:   My question:

I have 2006 Jeep liberty 3.7 4WD with 200k miles it runs great but when ever the 4 WD is engaged & making turns  grinding noises + squeaking noise comes up from the front wheels, the turning radius is reduced & the steering wheel becomes stiff, what could be the possible causes?
With Normal 2/4 W. drive, the Jeep has no noises and runs smooth.
Thank you so much for your help and have a very pleasant day
Muneer 🙂

that's what happens when you try to use 4WD on pavement.

Be sure to service the transfer case and axles regularly.

If you don't have a transfer case with a center differential and a full-time AWD setting you're going to break something in your drivetrain if you keep doing engaging 4WD on dry pavement. Part-time 4WD is meant to be used off-road or under slippery conditions only.
