Looking at Silverado for an all around truck including commuting, towing, some off road etc. 3.0 Duramax seems perfect but it’s new. What if you your opinion between that and the 6.2 L gas.

My asnwer would the 6.2L v8. More reliable to have, easier to work on and parts are cheaper and more readily available.
My expert opinion would be to get the 2500HD with a diesel to tow properly.
Now the best advice is to get a Ford F150 with the V8 option, forget ecoboost baloney. Get the F150 and never look back

Buy the new Ford 7.3 big block or the 6.7 powerstroke, way better than a Chevrolet. If you want a reliable diesel buy a 7.3 powerstroke for a 5.9 cummins
