Hey Scotty, I have a 2010 Ford Taurus 95,000. I only run regular gas. Should I run the tank low then fill it up with 93. Would it make the car run better?
If you don't need it by manufacturer guidelines and the car runs perfectly fine then it will make no difference at all so it is a waste of money.
I would just stick to the octane that is recommended in the owner's manual. If the car says to use 87, then putting 93 in won't really do anything to improve how the car runs. But, if the owner's manual says that higher octane will boost performance, why not give it a shot.
Stick to the manufacture’s recommend octane.

So what are we.....Oh no....NOPE. Not doing this again.

Hilarious!
Hahaha! Good one @mod_man ! I'm telling you, there's always one of these questions each day!
loL...
Ford recommends 87 octane for your car. They also recommend in the Owner's Manual:
Fuel quality
unless your engine is knocking, it's a waste of money
As says, we have a long discussion about this topic.
