Hi Scotty, I'm a big fan and I hope you can help me.  I have a 94 Camaro z28 with an LT1 350 with an automatic transmission. My car just as of the last 3 days (hot weather) started missing and stumbling with a load on. It seems to me that it started acting up after it sits for a few days (it sits outside 😪) and the weather also became hotter. I'm not sure where to start. There are no codes flashing, nothing obvious. I'm aware of the insanity of the optispark and I'm trying to do all the easy stuff first. Any advice would be appreciated .

Is your water pump leaking at all? Even a few drops? Because your OptiSpark sits right underneath it and if you are having trouble on hotter days....its worth checking.

I don't think so,  but I will say that it had rained heavy prior to this issue. Do you think maybe???

It definitely could be. The LT1 motors are really solid, but that OptiSpark is super sensitive to moisture.

Ok, thank you very much for the advice.  I'm an old school mechanic and I'm lost on a lot of this newer stuff. I have one more question,  how many coils are on my motor?

Yes that helped me a lot, thank you. I wasn't sure if it had coil(s). That's what I had hoped for, my first car in 1985 was a 73 Buick Lesabre and one day it wouldn't start, no matter what I did. My uncle came over that night and checked for spark via a spray water bottle and there was none. He brought a coil from home within 20 minutes I was up and running lol!
