94' F150, 302 V8, E4OD transmission, 150, 000 miles.
Transmission sometimes has a difficult time shifting into overdrive. It wants to shift into O/D at about 45(+/-) MPH depending on acceleration & grade. It will sometimes surge & slip when shifting into O/D when accelerating. When just cruising it shifts into O/D just fine.
No other issues. Tranny fluid changed as per Ford manual.
What could be causing this?

Old age has caused him but you could change the fluid and filter and pray that helps sludge can make that happen
