I've got a stock 95 bronco that's original with the 5.8 and almost 300000k miles. Problem is the speedometer has stopped work and its jumping first.i replaced the vss on the rear differential and I'm still having trouble.

@chouse
Any ABS light or other indications that changed? Drivability still 100% with no shift issue (if AT)?

The overdrive light is flashing

@chouse
have you checked your speed sensor? if its covered with oil clean it and put it back

I replaced it.im thinking I'll need to flush the real end

4WABS is likely the cause.  There's a way to bypass this ABS module that will verify it's bad (by having speedo work again).  Pretty easy job but a bit for me to type up (and don't remember the pins to jump), google 4WABS bypass and that should get you going.  Oh, and if bad, ya need to replace it as it does do other stuff ;  )
