Hi y boyfriend has a 95 for ranger xl that just started going nuts on the dash back firing and white driving the headlights go in and out plus there's no brights but it never completely dies and when the steering wheel turns to either side they brighten for a second along with the dash lights I'm puzzeled

Start with load testing the battery and alternator. Also check battery terminal connections and all the grounds.
