Hey Scotty! I’m almost ready to throw in the towel. I’m trying to sell my 1996 Saab 900 s convertible but the motor is broken and is stuck in the down position. I pulled the back seat down and pulled the red lever but nothing happens! I’m not a car guy but I just want to manually put the top up so I can get rid of it. Any help would be extremely helpful!!!!!

The convertible top mechanism on those is $$$ to fix. You might want to ask here for specific info on dealing with that problem:

Hello everyone, I’m new and I have a dilemma. I have a 1996 Saab 900s convertible. The motor for the top is broken. I want to manually put it up but have absolutely no clue about cars! I pulled the back seats down and pulled the lever down. Nothing happens. Please help! I’m trying to sell it but no one will buy it and Saab dealers won’t help unless I go and pay them!

go to a convertable shop. they should be able to get it back up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what if the new buyer wants to try out the top?

I certainly wouldn't buy it that way.
