Hey Scotty! I’m almost ready to throw in the towel. I’m trying to sell my 1996 Saab 900 s convertible but the motor is broken and is stuck in the down position. I pulled the back seat down and pulled the red lever but nothing happens! I’m not a car guy but I just want to manually put the top up so I can get rid of it. Any help would be extremely helpful!!!!!
The convertible top mechanism on those is $$$ to fix. You might want to ask here for specific info on dealing with that problem:

Hello everyone, I’m new and I have a dilemma. I have a 1996 Saab 900s convertible. The motor for the top is broken. I want to manually put it up but have absolutely no clue about cars! go to a convertable shop. they should be able to get it back up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what if the new buyer wants to try out the top?
I certainly wouldn't buy it that way.
