I have a '97 Chevrolet C1500, 5.7L, automatic transmission. Over 334k on the clock. It's a weekend chore truck. I can drive it to the lumber yard without any problems. But every once in a while, after being restarted, it'll just die after I put in gear to take off. Most of the time, it'll start right up, but a couple of weeks ago, I had to sit for about 10 minutes. Another odd thing, sometimes I'll notice that the clock is no longer correct. I probably need a new battery. What do you think? Ignition switch? You think it's that battery?

Change the fuel filter and pressure test to fuel pump up in a worn pump will do that
