97 Dodge Ram 1500 engine hesitation

Hello Scotty!

You're going to laugh at me because I know how much you love Chrysler but I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 v 4x4.

I have been driving it for about eight years and I'm trying to solve a problem. It has about 160,000 mi. When I first start it up, it begins to hesitate and sounds like it's losing vacuum or fuel.

I have changed multiple parts already including the map sensor, IAC sensor, throttle position sensor, plenum plate and gasket, cat and other parts. The truck runs good other than this hesitation problem for the first 3 minutes it's running and then heats up and runs fine.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Zac from PA

Thanks in advance and for your help!

Best way to get right to the problem is with a scan tool. If you don't have that you might end up spending even more money on repairs you don't need. I think its best you take it to a good mechanic and see what they think because I hate for you to spend any more money and not be sure your fixing the issue... and hell if thats your only issue your doing good for owning a dodge and a 97 at that that thing is almost as old as I am lol
