Hello everyone. I have a 1997 Acura Integra GS model 5 speed stick transmission. 264k miles on the car. Engine runs choppy in all low gears and has no power. It will rev out but is hesitating really bad. Once driving on freeway at higher speeds, the car is pretty smooth but breaks up at lower rpm and bucks. I replaced the spark plugs and it helped a lot but it has returned to how it was before. When idling, the rpm surges every 10 seconds and the car will vibrate. Does not stall at idle. What should I do?? I do not know much about the cars history but it seems to run good enough for the mileage.
Have you checked fuel filter, air filter, fuel pressure? Checked for vacuum leaks? Scanned for codes and live data? Checked for clogged catalytic converter? Engine compression OK?
