Hi! So j have a 97 d21 2.4 auto with 140k that has an idle issue. When the mag is plugged in, it idles like trash and will jump around and die when put in gear. When I pull the plug and it goes into limp mode it'll run half decent . Replaced maf, iac, tps etc to no avail. I've read about grounding issues to maf plug but haven't tried anything yet. Also did a vacuum delete but that neither helped nor hurt the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
You should check your air filter and make sure its clean, check your spark plugs, have your battery and alternator load tested and have the fuel pressure tested. Cars need Air Fuel and Spark at the proper mixtures to run right so check those things because I don't it a sensor when its that old and running that bad
