Today I took my car in stop at go city traffic and when I would stop the low oil pressure light would flicker inconsistently at a stop and sometimes stay on unless I kept the revs up at a stop, there's no engine clattering or knocking but I would rather catch the problem now early on car has almost 248k miles on it, and it runs fine no drops in mpg either, right now I got home and I'm leaving the car to idle for about 10 minutes to see if it comes back and nothing is happening, the engine is stock and no mods done to it. This is the first time this has happened and I got the car up to highway speeds and the light didn't come on.
Update I plugged in my obd reader and the ect was 232 degrees fahrenheit, it's been really hot lately in cali one fan doesn't spin and I think the other one was wired to always be on
If the oil level is good, check the engine oil pressure with a gauge.
I actually just checked my oil level it's a little over full, I may have over filled it
