i have a 98 civic si coupe with 76,000km on it. A check engine light appeared. i got my scan tool out, and it said p0141 which is a downstream o2 sensor code. Is it worth replacing the sensor? Or will the car run the same? Thanks

@jacobgeno
first clean your sensor, its probably clogged. if you still have a problem, i can give you some tips but do that at your own risk. a code doesnt always mean thats what the issue is, it can come from another issue. take your time and do one thing at a time, thats the thing about old vehicles, since it has been through alot i would highly reccomend cleaning all your electric cables with an electronic spray cleaner (dont spray on the parts just the cable plugs to be safe). if you have a bad alternator youre car will not even be working properly to start. how old is your 12v battery and how old your alternator? you need a multimeter, its cheap like 5$

Yes good advice by red devil but of course if a vehicle runs fine otherwise many people just ignore it all the modern computer crap on cars is often a royal pain and if they run okay who really cares
