Hey everyone I hope you are well. I am considering a private party 1998 Tahoe in immaculate condition has done about 100,000 miles with service history in the dealership and most maintenance if not all is done in the dealership. I am considering it as an alternative for my 2006 GX470 to save some cash and I usually drive only 250 miles per week and less on vacations.
Price?
It is going for about 4000 $ and might negotiate for about 3500 $
Well, both are gas guzzlers. What do you exactly want to save?
If the GX is in a good condition and taken care of, it can last a long time.
If I sell the GX470 for about 7500 $ and I will buy the tahoe for about 3000-3500 $ which will mean I will save about 4000-4500 $
I would not do that. You didn't consider the repair costs of the Tahoe.
If I sell the GX470 for about 7500 $ and I will buy the tahoe for about 3000-3500 $ which will mean I will save about 4000-4500 $
Better the devil you know than the devil you dont. I dont like this logic at all.
You realize youre looking at a 25 year old car? Who knows what headaches it'll cause you. Id keep what you have.
