Sir,
I own a 99 Saturn S series with 114000 miles. Auto trans. It's the Homecoming edition. Runs well however the master cylinder pooped the bed (pedal goes to floor, no leaks anywhere) It's a four port master cylinder so I'm assuming that's due to anti lock. My Saturn shop manual states that replacing this type of master cylinder can only be performed by the dealer. Is there any way this job can be performed by a ordinary guy ? Thank you
Respectfully,
Bob Bilo

You likely need a high-level bidirectional scan tool to deal with bleeding due to the ABS system. It doesn't have to be at a dealer. (Of course there are no Saturn dealers any more.) An independent mechanic with a suitable scan tool should be able to handle it.
