Hello Scotty,
I own a 99 tahoe 4dr 4wd and it’s the the old body style. So when I go to start the vehicle when temps get below or around 40 degrees my engine will backfire and pop and smoke will come out from underneath the hood. I wait a few seconds and go to start it again and it’s sometimes hard to start and when it does it has a hesitation and runs rough for a few seconds and then I back to normal. It doesn’t matter if the engine is cold or hot. When the weather warms up I never have this issue, only when it starts to get cold here in east Texas. Any recommendations for a repair for this issue?
Thanks!
Okay it doe it only really cold weather . when it's cold gaskets shrink and sometimes will leak. But also when it's cold weak electrical connections that are corroded or loose can do the same exact thing so check both of those first
Ok I will check that out first, thanks!
