Is there anyone here who can point me to a mechanic in the Birmingham Alabama area that can work on my Toyota that I can really trust?

Maybe there will be somebody here, but in the meantime talk to people in your area (who have lived there for a while) about who they go to - neighbors, coworkers, people at your church. Don't go to a chain or someplace that sends out coupons in the mail. Look for a well-organized place that has a steady flow of business, not someplace with a lot of junk cars. Check out your neighborhood Facebook or nextdoor.com group for recommendations.
