How do you recommend we find a trustworthy and experienced general mechanic. Have you considered creating a "Scotty approved" network of mechanics in the US? Just a thought. I love watching your videos and learning!
Sam
Great idea.
I was also thinking of introducing trusty brands for different parts. Like Akobono for pads.
Nice thought, but not realistic in today's market environment.
Every week or so, far too many new mechanics open shop, older mechanics close door, criminal mechanics manipulate ratings to make themselves look good, and good mechanics frequently get bad reviews because of circumstances beyond their control.
And a lot of the time, people don't want good mechanics or good work, they want CHEAP. They want the cheapest guy they can find.
I've been in the business a long time, and in todays market it's common to see things change every few days.
Under conditions like that, a nation-wide network that accurately reports mechanic veracity is realistically just a dream.
But you know, I'd be the first one to support it if we could make it real and keep it that way.
Idea is not bad. Does anyone know a mechanic like Scotty that knows cars for Europe?
