Hey Scotty, this might be a nice story and advice for beginner drivers. This happened to me. Last year I got my license and started driving. School came back in section and I was driving to school. After school I pull out and make a left on a curvy road. Their was a line behind about 2 times a week. I started getting made fun of by ones who got stuck behind me. One guy who made fun of me is on his 6th vehicle because he buys and sells them. But he abuses the heck out of them. Another one would make fun of me about everyday. Well one day their was a little ice on the road and slid into the ditch. He did get pulled out and wasn’t late, but said I should of listened to you. I drive a 99 ranger with the 3.0, and it’s a nice blue. I try to take care of it, change the oil every 3,000 miles, and don’t drive like it’s a race car. I learned to appreciate what I am given. And for you beginner drivers. Don’t be afraid to drive slow.

Don’t be afraid to drive slow.
Sorry, but you are wrong. You are a danger to everyone on the road.
In many states, it is law that "a slow vehicle must pull off the road if five or more cars are formed in a line behind"
My rule of thumb is that you should be going slower than about 50% of traffic, and faster than about 50% of traffic.
Exactly, drive according to the road conditions around you.
The law is you can drive up to the posted speed limit. You will not get ticketed in a 55mph zone driving at 55mph even if all the others around you are driving 70mph. We are living in a free for all period while police are afraid of traffic stops but it won't last. In the seventies 55 was enforced we simply drove slow. It will only take a couple of SCOTUS rulings for those days to return. If your driving in a 55 at 55 because you not comfortable going any faster then don't let anyone intimidate you. If the limit is 70 then move with traffic and don't block the people behind you.
If you get into a fender bender , no one was injured, the cars are drive-able and you did not due any property damage you can exchange info and drive off. Don't just take off under any circumstances without stopping. Any one injured , bruised, bloodied or any medical condition wait for the police. In that case don't just take off is emphatic.
Just keep in mind at least in New York if you get into an accident on a state road the state police are required to write up one of the parties involved. That means they have to pass judgement on fault on the spot and make a record of it. It's then up to the driver to defend yourself in court. In the case where it's difficult to determine fault the one who yaps the most or annoys the police the most gets the banana (euphemism for a ticket because the copy you get is yellow). There are cars that are referred to as banana magnets. These are vets, beamers and the like. If your driving a banana magnet, and you know who you are, when you get pulled over don't start mouthing off. The officer will not be intimidated. Most kids don't drive magnets but there is the other extreme , the kid driving his dads 78 Aspen with those Italian tires (bald-dean-eas). Once again be polite.
All the advice in the above posts are valid.
