I have 2001 Toyota Tundra with 168000. When I try and turn on the ac it works for a few seconds but then turns off and AC button light blinks. Thoughts on what it could be?

I'm not familiar that particular vehicle but in general an AC system will shut down if there is insufficient refrigerant. There may be just enough that it will start up but then the compressor pulls the low side down and the low-pressure cutout trips. You need to get a gauge set on there to see what's going on. (Of course it may also be some kind of electrical or computer problem.) I don't know why the light on the AC button blinks but it's possible it's to flag an error condition.
