AC works only on 2 highest settings

I have a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero 3.4 6 cyl auto   The ac blows only on the 2 highest settings. I noticed the compressor clutch is not engaging. Which maybe a separate issue.  I did recharge the ac (thanks to your YouTube video). It worked for a little while. Now it’s not. Does the compressor control the speeds of the motor?

The problem with the fan is likely to be the resistor pack used to control speed, though of course it could be the switch.

Compressor clutch not engaging is most likely due to low refrigerant but it could be an electrical problem. Have you hooked up a gauge set to see if there's adequate pressure in the system? (Typically the low-pressure cutout switch would turn off the compressor when pressure drops to 20 psi or less to protect the compressor from lack of lubrication.)
