Hey Scotty , this 2014 civic only has 54,000 miles and the light comes on after a couple of minutes or sometimes after an hour. Do you have any suggestions. I tried clearing it with my cheap scanner.

Have you looked the code up for possible causes? Most likely is a bad electrical connection. Despite an annoying computer-generated narration this video may give you some ideas:
