I just put a new/ reman alternator on my 2012 camry 2.5 se 140k miles, All lights turn off from dashboard when i install the alternator. now i notice there is a whistling sound coming from the alternator any idea why. Thank you.
Could just be you got a bad alternator. It does happen. If you can, I would return it for another one and see if the problem persists.
Reman alternators are notorious for being poorly rebuilt by some rebuilders. Seen them test bad right out of the box in the parts store. And that was a good time to put a new belt on ; )

Return it and definitely buy a quality alternator. Besides the labor to change it, you also don't want to ruin your battery too.

What do you recommend brand, i have oreillys and autozone bought it at autozone or maybe go to toyota dealer but they also sell remanufacture.
Find out what brand does Toyota use and buy it from another place.
