Is your car having some symptoms, or why are you testing the alternator?
Preventive maintenance car has 83,000
if you can start the car every morning, and all your accessories run, and your headlights are bright, then your alternator is fine.

Did you ask Autozone to load test the alternator?

13.8v isn’t bad if you have a meter just run the car and check it at idle and at 2500 rpm and with loads on and off in both scenarios and see why they read. If it’s dropping into the 12v range I would say the alternator is weak but if it’s 13-14.5v ish I would say it’s fine

It should be putting out 13.8 at idle and 2-3 volts higher when revved up. Sounds like a bad alternator/voltage regulator.
