Scotty this is about my F250 Super Duty alternator but I am sure applies to any car that uses an alternator. I bought a alternator in 2018 to replace OEM that went bad on 1999 F250 Super Duty V10. It has a lifetime warranty but I have taken it back 3 times in two years for a replacement for "bad diodes". The OEM Alternator lasted me 18 yrs. What is going on? Cant wait to see some cycle POV videos ! Us old guys need more time off....glad you made it to Tenn....Desert Dan

Get your battery tested. The two components work together. A bad battery will cause the alternator to be working overtime and they're just not build for it anymore these days. You can expect maybe 5 yrs now.
