Hey Scotty, I changed out my wife's coolant today in her 2016 Honda Fit, I pulled out the old ethylene glycol tester and after precisely mixing the new "Amsoil low toxicity antifreeze/coolant" at 50/50 the tester indicated the coolant was good only to zero degrees Fahrenheit. This surprises me and wasn't what I expected or was aiming for here in North Eastern Pennsylvania.
Does an ETHYLENE glycol tester function properly if you use it for PROPYLENE glycol?

No. They have different densities.
