any thoughts on Mazda CX-30 or Mazda3

Going to test drive these 2 vehicles tomorrow at a dealership--they are both certified pre-owned --both listed around 22,500. I need a car so bad right now...my honda pilot is struggling. They are 2020 and 2021... is Mazda making a car that is reliable? Does anyone have feedback on either vehicle?

I don't know if the specific Mazda3 you are looking at is made in Mexico (some are made in Japan), but all the CX-30s are made in Mexico. Toyota has some stake in Mazda and Mazda is using a lot of Toyota's technology at the base level. You are headed in the right direction, but it is up to you whether you want a small sedan or a small SUV.

The CX-30 and Mazda 3 share a similar platform. My preference would be the Mazda’s WITHOUT cylinder deactivation, which is usually the 2.0L engine. I believe the 2.5L engine has cylinder deactivation.

Also, the SkyActiv-G is more time tested that the SkyActiv-X engine. Can’t really say if the SkeyActic-X is good or bad, it’s just a lot newer so we really don’t know.
