2022 Ford Edge Titanium AWD 36700 Miles 8 speed automatic, 2.0 Ecoboost
Hi all, Question about my tires. For context, they are the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 tires. Around 600 miles ago I took my car to the mechanic for an unrelated issue. My mechanic always gives me an inspection report when he checked tires for wears, brakes for wear, etc. My mechanic said my tires were in brand new condition. I was a little suspicious- how can my tires still have 8/32 of wear when it came with 10/32 of wear from the factory when the tires have 36,700 miles? Especially after looking at my tires myself they look worn. Can someone take a look at the pictures in the link down below and tell me what you think? Is my mechanic correct?
Mechanic should've said "still in good condition", not "brand new condition". Judging from the wear, I would guess you still have 5/32 - 6/32 left on the tire. 2/32 would be down to tire wear indicator. Do a "penny" test.
