Not if it's been beaten to death by young hooligans.

10,000 yes.  Do you mean 100,000 km?  If so, then it depends.

The EJ25 is generally a solid motor*.  All the STI people I’ve talked to agree that the engine was overbuilt (to handle the expected tuning and racing).  So if you find one that was neither tuned nor raced (and was well maintained) it can be pretty durable.  Ditto for the gearbox.  But that’s a big “if”; by now a lot of the units from that model year have had multiple owners who added modifications of uncertain quality.

The electronic components should be ok (including the famous “party cat” button).  The little hardware pieces, not so much.  Subaru is, after all, an economy brand not a luxury brand.  Things like lug studs and various trim connectors will need attention; nothing difficult or expensive, just annoying.

Also, be aware that the STI is a little rough around the edges.  Driving it in traffic is a chore.  Not implying anything, just throwing that in.

The upside to the WRX and STI is that they were designed to be owner-serviced.  Maintenance and minor repairs are generally easy and parts are cheap.  If you like working on your own car, you will really enjoy an STI.

BTW: my son has a 2016 STI that was abused before he bought it.  Now he gets to rebuild the motor (he loves the car anyway).  I had a 2018 non-STI WRX for 4 years that was a very solid car; after 4 years my back had enough, but I never had any problems with it.  I bought it new and maintained it compulsively.

*There was a class action suit that covered certain production runs; check whether the one you are considering was included.
