Wow Scotty, I am listening to your latest YouTube video and you mentioned you live in Clarksville, Tenn. I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky, so not far! We are in the market for a used car, possibly two, one for my soon-to-be driver son and one for my wife and me to replace our 2003 Chevy Suburban - the transmission went out, so we are trying to decide whether to replace it or buy another car. I have really enjoyed your videos and I have learned SO much about cars; it's just fascinating! Who says a 59-year-old can't learn new tricks? I see a lot of possible cars that are in Clarksville. If I find one there, might it be possible to bring it by for you to check it out? I agree with you that you should have a mechanic check it out before buying. The trouble is, I never know who to trust to tell me if something is wrong... But I trust you! Thanks for considering! James
Send him an email to set an appointment.
Will do, thanks!
How many miles are on that Suburban? The price of used cars these days are as high as ever. If the mileage isn't too much then I would replace the transmission and get a proper transmission checked by a mechanic or you could get it rebuilt.
225,000 miles. I am definitely thinking about doing that. The engine still seems to be good.
