Hi Scotty, I am the original owner of a 2007 Avalon with 70,000 miles. I've watched several of your videos about replacing the transmission fluid and decide to drain and replace the transmission fluid myself. When I went to the dealership to purchase the fluid the parts guy said that this model Avalon needs the fluid pumped in by special equipment. If this true is there a work-around for me to do it or is it possible a local car mechanic have the equipment to do this? I also have a 2004 Prerunner, 4 cylinder automatic with 80,000 miles. Should I replace the original transmission fluid in it or leave it alone because of the mileage?
Does the transmission have a pan with bolts on the bottom? Or a drain plug?
Does it have a dipstick for the trans? If it doesn’t then yes there are special procedures needed to train and refill the trans. Mostly getting trans to a specific temp then removing the check plug.
