Hello Scotty,
I have a 2005 Toyota Avalon, auto transmission, 185,000 miles. When driving, the battery warning light flashes intermittently. Do you happen to know what might be causing this?
I replaced the alternator a couple of years ago with a remanufactured unit. I suspect this unit may be failing, but your input would be quite helpful.
FYI - Based on your recommendation, I ordered a
TOPDON AB101 Car Battery Tester
to check the charging system. Thanks for the tip.

Check all your connections.

Check voltage at the battery with the engine off and at idle. With engine off, voltage should be about 12.75 volts, about 14.5 volts with engine idling.
