Baxter Oil Filter Adapter in Sedan or Hatchbacks

Hello Scotty and Team,

thx for axcepting my membership here.

i recently bought a 2016 Toyota Avensis Station Wagon with only 12k Kilometers fully serviced in pristine condition for 16k Euro with the 1.8 2ZR-FAE and CVT Transmission.

I want to keep it until the wheels fall of.

Scottys Youtube Show is making my day every morning here in germany.

Around 2 weeks ago on mechanical Monday the baxter oil filter Adapters where mentioned.

Since then i was looking if that adapter would fit also to a european Toyota and i could figure out that the Scion IM or later Corolla IM use the 2ZR-FAE as well and there is an adapter for the IM 's available.

But what concerns me is, i only have seen Toyota 4 Runners and Tacomas with their lifted Suspensions on pictures and it seems that those cartridge oil filters are hanging down quite low.

Is there the Danger that deeper snow or potholes will damage or rip of that construction, because in a Station Wagon its not that high up in the air as in an SUV?

If someone has it already installes on a sedan, hatchback or Station Wagon would be nice to hear some feedback.

My best regards from germany

Hallo und guten Tag from Texas.

They didn't make those adapters to only fit lifted vehicles, so I don't see why it would be an issue on a station wagon or hatchback. I would think there would still be lower pieces of the car to bottom out first.

Hallo nach Texas😁,

thx for your reply.

I guessed the same but wanted to be sure and it was really concerning that there was no picture from underneath a sedan or hatchback when i googled around.

Well i think i will give it a try and order the adapter.

Greetings from germany.

Then you can be der erste to make ein Foto von your sedan 😃😄
If I ever decide for such adapter I can make it for a hatchback.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Thx guys,

yes i will give a feedback when its installed, but may take a while until its delivered.

Next maintenance and every 2 year state technical inspection is in summer this year, then it gets installed.

Do you think the Adapter with cartridge oil filter could help improve the filter capacity and is preventive for vvti issues like rattling as Baxter claims on their Homepage?

Best regards
