Hey,
Im planning on replacing my loose
tension spring on my 2.5L Ford Ranger.I want to replace the belt along with it(gator brand), so Im wondering what
kind of lubricant would be best for
the belt?

The serpentine belt should be dry

I use the same lubricant that I use to grease the muffler bearings.
No lube required as mentioned above.

I thought it would need some lubricant when the belt first goes on, but i guess not!

No lubricant at all, belt should be dry.
