what are some best fast zippy cars as you say maybe even possible race car type to buy. Im looking to buy one in a manual one, no automatic and preferably a car from japan or germany. Im not into Gm or american brands. Also where do you suggest i buy it, in a used car dealer or from someone through like craigslist or facebook marketplace. This is will be my first car to purchase by the way. Thanks scotty for your help and congrats on your new place.
What is your budget? Where do you live/looking to buy? How much can you budget for repairs down the road?

Mazda Miata
Honda S2000.
All depends on how much you want to spend and what do you want from the car.
Honda Civic (especially if you can get an SI) or a Miata.
If you don't mind something older, perhaps a Toyota MR2 or Honda Prelude.
Don't buy from a dealership. Buy from a private individual, and bring a mechanic with you.
