Hello Scotty from Northern Canada, I have a 2008 Mazda 3 I am considering upgrading the headlight bulbs on. Should I stick with halogens or go LED's? The only problem if I upgrade to LEDs is I believe I only have reflector housings, would that be a problem?

Only halogen bulbs. Reflector housings are designed for halogen bulbs, not HIDs or LEDS.
The reflector housing just makes the light project further! I would absolutely upgrade to LED. I bought LEDs for my little Toyota a couple years ago and they were great! If you want good LEDs get them from Precision LED. http://www.precisionled.com

Do they blind other drivers?
@river
You should not put low beam lights into other cars windows. Lower them if they are too high.
There are always people who are gonna argue that LEDs are too bright. Most people who say they are too bright, focus their eyes directly at the lights instead of focusing on the lines on the road. Personally, I believe they are better because you can be seen by other drivers more and the lights reflect off of animals' eyes more at night.
I own Hilux Pickup truck with a normal height (No lift), I'm always blinded by a Sedan car using LED on a Reflector type headlight. Btw, I'm not starring at their headlights. 🙂
