who’s manufacturing the best HD V8 right now and what’s the reason you went with your pick?

Are you talking about the 2020+ Gen V Iron block 6.6L V8, L8T? (400hp, low compression, no auto start/stop, no cylinder deactivation). It's still pretty new but I would trust it.
Or do you mean the 2017+ 6.6L L5P V-8 Duramax Turbo Diesel Engine (910 lb⋅ft torque)?
