Hi Scotty, when is the best time to check the engine oil, warm or cold engine. Some experts say when the engine is warm others when it’s cold. In my case it’s an old 2010 Honda Pilot. Thanks

whatever you owner's manual says, but I think 90% of the time it will be cold.

When it's hot it expends, may not give an accurate measure. I don't know how cold you can go, here it gets -25 C and I don't know if it is accurate at this temperature.
