Scotty, Could you address the problem that a lot of GM cars have with the blend door? I have a 2012 Chevy Cruz and the heater or A/C will not change where it's coming out of. It will not go to defrost. You could let your viewers know that this is a very common in some GM products and very expensive to fix. Maybe put some pressure on Chevey to do a recall. Thanks
The problem is not just a gm/chevy problem. We've had several company vehicles that were Fords. The were worse than anything I've ever driven for the blend door actuators going bad. One vehicle was less than 2 yrs old and it went out. I've had them apart, and the gears inside and most of the other moving parts inside are all plastic. It saves $$ because being all plastic is much cheaper to produce. It wouldn't be so bad if they were easily accessible to replace, but they're not. Usually buried deep inside the dash/console area. But as for a recall....it's not a safety item, so don't hold out looking for them or any brand to recall for blend door problems.
Chevy has so many issues and that’s why Scott always says do not buy them. Recently, Scotty mentioned about a missing module in the GM heavy trucks.
That doesn’t surprise me, unfortunately. Scotty (and us here on this forum) definitely warn people of GM’s lack of quality and not to buy their products whenever we can.
