Hi, does someone here know something about most common things why BMW engines leak oil?

Well offense the stupid oil filter that's located in ridiculous place you have to take half of the engine off

Valve cover gasket is a big one. TBH, I think it is eventually common on every car. But like Scotty said, in order to change it you have to disassemble half the engine. Well for the valve cover gasket, probably more like ¼ of the engine. And when you have to take that much out, it adds to the repair bill.

Valve cover gaskets and the rear main seal are notorious for being the first places to start leaking.
