Hi i have a 1998 BMW E36 316 M43 1.8 engine.
Km 284400 5 speed manual transmission.
Its having a sudden start issue and when i drive and give alittle gas it seems as if there is no pulling power. My 2nd gear takes forever to reach atleast 50km/h it takes forever to take off ehen only a month ago it used to take off quick I recently replaced the airflow intake rubber boot..im also having a slide unstable idle. But not rough.
Please help with asssitance feel that i should just sell the old car seems that everytyn new part is replaced anther problm arises.
How old are air and fuel filters, spark plugs? Is fuel pressure good? Any issues seen when scanned for codes and live data?
Everything is new on service kit.
Did not do diagnostics yet
Don't know what you mean by "injectors to intake rubber boot." If you mean from the intake manifold to the valve cover, that would be the PCV valve and it and its hose can easily be replaced.
There was a breather hose coming from injectors to intake rubber boot that kept jumping off as engine gets warmer its a little brittle and hard if it jumps off engine wpuld always die on me and had to put it back before i could reach home.i had to cable tie it for it not too get loose
