I have a 2006 Toyota Camry and the brake pedal and steering wheel shake whenever I brake. New pads, rotors and tires what else could the problem be?
Either the lug nuts were not properly and evenly torqued, or the new rotors were warped to begin with. This is caused by warped rotors. You said it shook when applying the brakes so that would rule out tires as the problem.
Someone told me it could also be wheel bearings but I feel like they were just trying to get more money out of me
If the new rotors were not properly installed with the correct bearing pre-load, that could also be a cause. Who did this job? Jack up a wheel, grab it at the 6 and 12 o'clock position and push and pull with opposite hands. If you feel any play, the bearing pre-load is not adjusted properly and/or there are loose suspension components.
