Hey Scotty, I have a 2011 Mazda 3 hatchback(148,000 miles, automatic). I’ve had it for 4 years now and have never had any major problems with it. I bought it in Virginia, and then got orders to California, drove it all the way here. Only thing I’ve had to fix was my suspension and struts. Recently I noticed that when I pull my car out in reverse, and then go into drive without pressing on the gas I’ll hear a high pitch screeching, and it’s the same when pressing on the brakes. At high speeds I don’t hear the screeching but at low speeds I hear it. I took it to jiffy lube and they told me my brakes were fine, and it was my motor mounts making the noise so they replaced the motor mounts but I still have that noise. Do you think it’s the brakes? Thank you for all that you do Scotty!
The idea of Jiffy Lube replacing motor mounts is scary!! I wouldn't even trust them to change my oil.
It's pretty common for disc brakes to squeak. Better pads like Akebono brand that Scotty recommends are quieter, and there is also gunk you can buy to slap on back of the pads that helps prevent them from vibrating and squeaking.

Thank you so much! I’ll try this out soon and update you! Thank you again!
