Hi Scotty,
what’s your honest opinion on Buicks?

You always have great reply's! the trash can is right on!
really enjoy the old car pics too
We aim to please!
{pear}
We not only aim, we hit the mark.
They used to be pretty good cars, now, they're junk.
They are okay if you get one with the 3800 v6 in it which is most lesabres or park avenue. I would not buy a newer one.
I mean if I was forced to buy a GM product. I would buy Buick before any of the other brands.
good looks may be luxurious on the inside but the engine and company (scotts fart noise) garbage.
My first thought is a very basic one.
Buick sales in the US market are nothing more than a shadow of their former glory and popularity.
Over the years whenever I've gone to an auto show, no one, and and I mean NO ONE was looking at the Buicks. The salesman were just standing around watching people walk by.
In my opinion, for that reason alone I would not consider purchasing one.
The main reason that GM keeps the brand going is they are popular in China.
Yes, that is correct. The Chinese really do seem to like them for some reason.
Buicks were pretty good cars until the early to mid-2000s when their quality took a nosedive. the last good Buicks were ones with the 3800 V6 engines which can run forever if well taken care of. Nowadays they are popular in China and they are no longer that good, especially the Enclave which will make you wanna pull your hair with electrical, engine, and tranny problems, and the ugly Buick Encore where Car Wizard recently mentioned about failures of the turbocharger.
