I am looking at a 2001 ford expedition with 280k miles for 2200 it is a 4x4 with the 5.4 engine should I look for one with fewer miles or could this one last a while it is a one owner car and looks like its in good shape

yeah those v8 were tanks back then its it runs, not rusted, and u got it checked out by mech, id prob try to pay less if u can. if ur after a vehicle of that size and dont expect good fuel mileage of an econ car then get it

I agree with Neil entirely they generally turn into money pets and Rusty money pits at that age

I'd offer $1000 and maybe go $1500. It isnt a diesel, so don't expect it to go forever without some issues.
